I have to take a break from sewing for a while. I hope to be back at it by July or August, but for now it has become impossible for me to keep up. I probably won't return any phone calls related to sewing or even answer the phone. I have another project that is taking up most of my time right now and until I can manage my time better, I have to put this on hold. I'm not quitting, just taking a sabbatical. I will still be shipping out ears, jewelry and makeup.
Photographers love the way these photograph. They are iridescent, shiny, catch the light very well, and show up beautifully on film. They are more realistic looking than the fabric wings, appearing more transparent at times and just more iridescent. However, I'm not going to lie to you or deceive you in any way about these. These wings are made out of plastic cellophane They are not of the same high-quality as my fabric wings. There are multiple layers fused together which makes them pretty strong and fairly hard to tear. The veins and outlines are hand painted and the wire frames will still be covered in ribbon. I will promise that they will be just as well made or better made than any other wing maker selling cellophane wings.
